A challenging yet deeply rewarding alterations and additions project to a much-loved family home in Sydney’s south. The design sought to honour the character of the existing dwelling while introducing a confident and contemporary architectural response.

Carefully articulated forms and considered material transitions allow the home to read as a cohesive two-storey residence. Subtle shifts distinguish old from new, while a grounding sandstone plinth anchors the building to its site, reinforcing a sense of permanence and connection to place.
